Storytelling
All of our sites maintain deep rooted and significant histories and we promise to share stories through design. We never forget the past, and furthermore, we incorporate its lessons into all of our projects, both present and future.
Innovative Creativity
Each House includes a specifically tailored program to meet its community’s needs and the interior design, through customization, nurtures each building’s specific mission. Sustainability - reuse, material awareness, and durability - is a core design value.
Community Collaboration
Our projects are always a team effort. We engage a variety of community members to be involved and invested in our Houses from the start. We often work with youth groups during construction and collaborate with local artists in the design process.
Nomadic Installations
Our design is nomadic, in that it can be assembled and disassembled easily and flawlessly. Our Impact Houses maintain a 3-10 year life, and so we create flexible designs that can be reused in various spaces. We hate waste and we love thoughtful design.
